Universe Welcomes Wii With Meteor Shower

In a seeming coincidence, the galaxy has seen fit to welcome the Nintendo Wii with a spectacular meteor shower. The Leonid meteor shower that was last seen in 1998, is visible from Nov. 10 through the 23rd, with it's peak being the Wii hours of Nov. 19. (Wow, I feel just like Jack Horkheimer, Star Hustler.)

With all of Reggie's contacts, I have no doubt that he arranged this specifically to coincide with tonight's Wii midnight launch. Take THAT PS3! You may have had line waiters, shootings and general madness, but the Wii gets a meteor shower. I've also heard that at the peak hour, the stars will actually spell out "Welcome, Wii!" I wonder how much of Nintendo's 2 Million advertising budget went to that...
