GameDaily has broken the news that Guitar Hero has changed development houses. Formerly at Harmonix, creators of Karaoke Revolution, Amplitude and EyeToy: Antigrav, the Guitar Hero franchise looks to have been taken under the wing of Neversoft, famous for their Tony Hawk skateboarding games and Gun.
While unconfirmed, GameDaily writes that Neversoft will be focusing on a proper sequel in Guitar Hero III. Why the change? It's unknown, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Harmonix team working on a wholly original product, one of their own choosing. The Guitar Hero formula is mostly set, with little in the way of new songs, new themes, new artwork and minor gameplay tweaks necessary for a successful sequel.
so offically Guitar hero series is Dead Harmonix sold the name to neversoft, I hate neversoft they ruined almost everything, the 1000 million tonyhawk sequels -_-; .
Thanks Harmonix for the AWESOME Guitar Hero 1 & 2.
