I think i will be switching to Gmail forever, i saw many sweet stuff there that will make u hate hotmail.
1) its very very light on the connection, ur almost browsing a LAN server, while hotmail is too heavy and will be slow unless u have >128kbps dsl ...
2) built in chat client, no need to download any of those msn/pidgin/miranda to be able to chat with others, just log on to see ur email and ur online!
also contains full logs of ur chats on googletalk, the downside is that others must have a gmail acc [unless free7 corrects me] and the ability of voice/video chat unless u get thier client [googletalk]..
3) simple file sending, just click on ur contact to make an email to send the file to through attachement, also hotmail have that but here its much faster/easier and more convenient than sending a file through the messenger client coz it will take the slower speed of the 2 members.
.. i will add more once i discover more :)

ReplyDeleteUmm.... I created my e-mail back in 1996 or 1997 and I'm very used to Hotmail. It's just the same topic as "Windows suck, change to ubuntu", we all know anything MS is very bad but we can't change it since: 1)we're used to it. 2)mostly there are no good alternatives (I'm suffering from this point with OpenOffice vs MS office, MS was good at something for once) and 3)we're too lazy to change our e-mails (well, I am!).

Abdulla how do u add ppl from hotmail to ur gmail? this is almost the only thing left for me to change to gmail.
ReplyDeleteand mercapto, not every open source is good, the good thing is u can forward everything u get on ur hotmail to ur gmail automatically :)
its only the messenger thing with hotmail accs that stops me now
